Coach Sergio Gilliam received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and is currently earning his Master’s in Special Education from Arizona State University. He has been teaching at Pinnacle for the past two-and-a-half years. Coach Gilliam has been involved with the Boys Football program and was a part of the State Runner-Up Championship in '22. He has coached the Pinnacle Girls' flag football team for the past three seasons, with this being the first AIA Official Season for Pinnacle High. 

Coach Gilliam coached our Freshman Girls' basketball team to an undefeated season his first year going (15-0). This is his second season as the Head Coach for JV. 

Coach Gilliam has a daughter named Violet who is 10 years old. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, friends and family. When he is not coaching, he enjoys watching sports and rooting for all CLEMSON TIGERS’ athletics!
